About Mr Max J Mr Max J would make someone a great guard dog he will bark and look fierce to anyone he does not know especially if there is a fence between you. But if you have a quiet chat to him on his side of the fence and let him come to you he will do so with a smile and a wag of his tail. I am sure this is where the saying of all bark and no bite comes from. He can be very scary at first and all our volunteers have been fooled by him. When you first meet him like any dog stand still he will come up sniff you and then ask for a pat. BUT like us all if someone creeps up or puts a hand in our face we might react and Mr Max J might too. He is a very loyal mate and companion once bonded with you will be by your side forever through thick and thin. He is good with older kids and adults and absolutely fine with other dogs.
