Rosey's Story
Rosie's Story
You might remember the Maremmas that were dumped at Urunga Golf Course in April last year. The interesting thing about this was that it was not the first time they were dumped. In February last year we received a call to say that someone had found three Maremma pups near Coramba Road on the out skirts of Coffs Harbour. They had rung other rescues without success, so we went to pick them up. We got them back to Happy Paws Haven and checked them for a chip, nothing found. We then tried to find their owner. In the mean time we chipped them, had them vet checked and vaccinated them. There was Parvo around at that time, not at Happy Paws Haven but in the Clarence Valley and Coffs Coast. Also we had Rosie's eye checked as it was slightly abnormal. We received a call from a man who said he owned them and could prove it. He came and picked them up, we felt things were not quite as they should be but we had to give them to him.
