The owners dogs had never attacked the neighbours animals as they were pets and often just went for a run to swim in the river and come home. One of their dogs was killed by a bait which is a dreadful death for any animal. They were frightened it was going to happen to Buddy too As Buddy is such a beautiful boy loves kids and reminds us all of the dog in the Never-ending-story they decided to surrender him so that he would have a wonderful life in safety.
