Balun is a lovely young lad who is ready to find his new home. Being a dingo, he has some special requirements regarding fencing and understanding of his species (see below).
Balun is good with other dogs, walks well on the lead (will require a harness), waits at the gate, sits and accepts treats very gently. He is easy going in nature and has been handled since a young puppy and is affectionate with people.
He loves to get out for walks and enrichment for him is creating situations where he can forage, pounce, explore and use his incredible nose.
If you’re up for exploring the wonder of the world through a dingo’s senses, Balun will bring a lot of joy and possibly convert you to the dingo world forever!
While considering a dingo please assess your current and future lifestyle bearing in mind that adopting a dingo is a significant, lifelong commitment requiring legal permits in some States and banned in others, except NSW and WA. A secure, large enclosure, and a specific diet, as dingoes are wild animals with strong instincts, requiring knowledgeable owners to ensure safety due to their independence, and high prey drive. They need supervision, extensive exercise, and a very calm environment, making them unsuitable for households with young children or small pets, and they are incredibly difficult to re-home due to the strong bonds they form.
Please call Sally on 0419 404 766 to discuss Balun rather than messaging or emailing.
